Thanks Sadie and yes...I had the same question about "the hairs of my head". I think we will answer this Tuesday morning.
Also, I was equally convicted of my time-wasting activities. Let's talk about alternatives on Tuesday. Many of my days are busy with gainful activities, but I am convicted about other days....hmmmmm.

Christ gives some promises in Luke Chapter 21 that will be of great comfort during serious, overwhelming trials.

First, he tells us we will be hated for his name's sake. So there is some comfort in knowing-it shouldn't take us by surprise.

But then, he says...
"18 But not a hair of your head will perish. 19 By your endurance you will gain your lives."

He also talks about how Heaven and earth shall pass away but his words will not pass away and then lastly: Instruction!

34 “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

"lest my heart be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and cares of this life"

I had to look up the word "dissipation"
It means wasting the time with useless or profitless activities.
Now, I hate the taste of alcohol so I don't really drink...however, those other two warnings nailed me.

Waste the time? Guilty!
Consumed with the cares of this world? Guilty!
I need to evaluate how I spend my days and pray about how I can make some changes.
:) Looking forward to Tuesday morning ladies!
